Karthik Kamalakannan

Karthik Kamalakannan is the CEO of Skcript and serves on its board of directors.

A designer CEO, Karthik founded Skcript in 2013. His mission is to bring simplicity to the world's work through design and technology. He leads Skcript's vision, product strategy, and long-term direction, and has been instrumental in scaling the company globally.

He is the driving force behind Skcript's products. He built and scaled FeatureOS, the product feedback, roadmap, and changelog platform, and SupportWire, taking both from concept to products used by teams worldwide. His work spans product architecture, design, and the go-to-market discipline required to grow software companies sustainably.

Karthik is also closely involved in the Research & Engineering Group's investments, where he helps evaluate, shape, and guide early-stage technology bets alongside the firm's engineering and research priorities.

Beyond Skcript, Karthik has built and led multiple technology communities, helping thousands of engineers and designers grow in their careers. He writes and speaks regularly on software craftsmanship, design, and the discipline of building independent companies.
